Who we are     I     What we do

For over twelve years, Lovett Deconstruction has been offering a sustainable alternative to mechanical demolition, ensuring that quality building materials can be reused, repurposed, or recycled.  A licensed, bonded and insured, full-service deconstruction company, we hand disassemble building materials in order to divert waste from landfills and allow affordable building products to cycle back into the community.

Our practice of systematic deconstruction also ensures that hazardous materials are found, contained, and disposed of safely and in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations. Lovett Deconstruction is proud to be licensed in acccordance with Oregon Law as a Certified Lead Based Paint Renovation Contractor.

The potential for deconstruction to significantly reduce waste and improve the quality of our environment is great, and we are happy to have a hand in these effects. Deconstruction is by no means a new technique with which to handle building structures, but it is a method that had been generally discarded somewhere along our history line. We are pleased to be a part of this form's resurrection, and hope that our work, in turn, inspires others to look at, treat, and utilize the materials around them in new and renewed ways.   >>> Meet the team

When remodeling, deconstruction can be utilized in the first state of the process, as in the case of dismantling a kitchen to its framework (the studs). When a building needs to be removed completely, deconstruction provides an opportunity to systematically reverse the construction process, from roof to foundation, in order to salvage all reusable materials from the structure.

"Deconstruction vs. Demolition" Created by Tim Brock and Virginia Marting. Music played live by Marisa Anderson. Filmed by Sam Pirnak and Sika Stanton.
