What people are saying about Lovett Deconstruction:
"Your workers just finished a demolition of our shower to get ready for our new tile. When they were done I told them that it was so clean it looked like it could pass the white glove test. One of them said that he liked how I worded that, explaining that, 'our boss always says that.' Well, I just wanted to let you know that they listened. And they were so fast - getting it all done in one day! Thank you!"
"Your crew is the talk of the neighborhood because of how clean and quiet you've been. There's been no nail left behind, and we've been excited watching a house get deconstructed so meticulously."
"Amazing job Der! Kendal, Vicente and the team were wonderful to work with. As promised, there was no evidence of dust or debris anywhere else in the house and the finished basement is cleaner than when you started. I was very pleasantly surprised that your team even arranged for the Rebuilding Center to come by the next day... I didn't have to do anything.
I would not hesitate to recommend your services. Thank you again and take care."
"We have worked with Lovett Deconstruction numerous times over the past five years and they have been consistently on time, on budget and overall a pleasure to be around. Their knowledge of the construction process coupled with their timely response to any questions or unexpected challenges really sets them apart from their competition. The job site is always left spotless and ready for the next phase when they complete their work. Being able to be rest assured that all of the demoed materials are recycled through the proper channels really seals the deal. I would recommend Der and his crew with absolutely no hesitation."

"Just want to say what you no doubt already know -- your team is wonderful! They've been sensitive to our "save this" list, and respected the surrounding garden areas. They were friendly and efficient.
"Thank you for providing such a valuable service."

"Lovett Deconstruction has become our preferred subcontractor whenever a project requires demolition, and in particular when the project calls for precise work under challenging conditions. On the numerous projects they have performed for us, Der’s crew has proven to be consistently professional and courteous as well as being competitively priced. What sets them apart, however, is their willingness to always go the extra mile to make the project a success."

"I have worked with Lovett Deconstruction on several projects over the past seven years. Der and his staff are very professional, conscientious and efficient. When working in a specific area of the clients home, they take great care in controlling the disruption to other areas of the home. I highly recommend their services."

"First off thanks for being right on time for every meeting. And I would also like to take this time to thank you and your workers for starting my job on time and completing it sooner than you estimated. The invoice at the end reflected less than the estimate due to finishing faster and I thank you for that.
"Your workers were very professional and very concerned about keeping the surrounding area protected and clean. I would never hesitate recommending you and your company to anyone."

"My wife and I bought an old farmstead in the country; which had been heading down hill for a decade at least, before standing totally empty for an additional six years. All manner of critters and debris had collected in odd and hidden places and we needed to remove the lower, indoor portion of all the exterior and interior walls to replace all the wiring and plumbing and check for hidden structural damage and pests. The team from Lovett Deconstruction showed up on time as promised and cleaned out the whole house, including lead paint abatement, as they removed thousands of square feet of lath and plaster. They also removed the entire hayloft floor in the barn which was nailed down 3/4 inch plywood, and a plywood ceiling in the basement that held in a bunch of filthy old fiberglass insulation. They were on site for 16 hours. Even the lawn leading to the dumpster was spotless when they left. The crew was courteous to my wife and careful with every detail they touched. Valuable architectural pieces in the house, like the fireplace mantle got special protection and the whole house was swept and vacuumed and mopped before they left. There wasn't a single lath nail left in any place they worked. It was worth every penny. Our journey to country living continues on schedule now with electricians and plumbers to follow closely behind Lovett and they will all appreciate the clean space they have to work in. After 30 years as a carpenter I can say firsthand that this important step of job site preparation sets the tone for the rest of the job. Lovett -- You'll Love It!"

"Lovett Deconstruction has now helped me with three projects, two residential and one commercial. I was extremely impressed with Mr. Lovett and his crew on the first project, and they have somehow managed to exceed my already high expectations with each subsequent project. Each job was completed on time and on budget. Mr. Lovett and his workers were all very polite, considerate, and professional. They paid very close attention to not damaging anything beyond what needed to be deconstructed, and always left the job site tidy and secure at the end of the day before returning to continue their work the next day. At the conclusion of the most recent project, one of the workers was so kind as to put up a very sturdy, temporary fence made from reused parts of the structure that was deconstructed.
"I unhesitatingly give Lovett Deconstruction my highest recommendation."
Home, commercial real estate, and business owner
"I wanted to write to express our appreciation to you, Vincente, and the crew for a terrific job done on the deconstruction of our 1904 home in Sellwood.
"Your crew kept the site incredibly clean throughout the process and all the neighbors couldn’t believe how quiet the entire deconstruction was. Communication was always very easy with you and the crew and we always felt heard. We also really appreciated the care taken to reclaim materials in the home we plan on using in our new home.
"Thanks so much for starting our project off on the right foot!"
"It's important to me that you know what a great job Chris and the crew did on our project. It was the neatest, most organized deconstruction (and demo as far as the chimney is concerned) I have ever seen. I have always viewed the demo portion of a remodel to be nothing more than a necessary component to get past as quickly as possible so the real work could begin. Suffice it to say I never expected to marvel at the deconstruction portion of our remodel. You and your guys have managed to shift my perspective to include this first step to be one equally interesting and importantly skilled as any other trade."
"It is great to have a demolition/deconstruction crew that are so professional in their attitude and work! Courteous, on time, on budget, organized, thorough, SAFE.... I really can't say enough good things about Lovett Deconstruction."

"I am a project manager for Green Gables Design and Restoration, a residential general contracting design build company in Portland, Oregon. I have used Der Lovett's company several times for salvage and demolition. On every occasion, they have proved to be quick, affordable, hardworking, and tidy when they are done. I have had nothing but good work from them and would recommend them highly."

"During deconstruction of a major project in Eastmoreland last year, Der called me to say that they had discovered a layer of plywood coated with a texture coat of some unknown substance that, in his opinion, could contain asbestos. It was Friday afternoon, and we had a crew of plumbers scheduled for Monday morning. By five pm, Der had taken a sample to the testing lab, found it contained asbestos, and had lined up a certified removal crew. They were on the site at eight am Saturday, and, by four pm that day, the material had been removed, residual particles locked in with a spray treatment to all affected framing, and the site was spotlessly clean. My project had not been delayed. Left to my own devices, it could have taken me a week to take care of.
"I have been a professional builder for thirty years. Until I met Der Lovett, I personally supervised all the demolition work on every project I did. Doing a meticulous, well-protected demolition phase can really set the tone for the whole project. When waste materials are properly recycled or disposed of, hazardous materials identified and mitigated, valuable parts carefully set aside, and the site left clean with dust confined to work areas, clients, as well as the construction crew, are happy. And, preserving rare old trim can result in significant savings when the restoration expert can avoid ordering custom fabricated mill work. Der and his crew of experts consistently provide all this, and they are a pleasure to have on the job site as well.
"In my opinion, you can't afford not to hire Der."

"I was extremely pleased with the thorough and professional demolition job that Der and his crew performed for me in the interior deconstruction of a fire-damaged home. "Lovett Deconstruction listened to my concerns, carefully removed everything worth salvaging, de-nailed the material, bundled it, then stored it in the basement of the home for storage. They work quickly and neatly and leave the site clean inside and out. I've worked in the remodeling industry for the past thirteen years, and I've never seen a more professional deconstruction/demolition crew. I look forward to working with Der on many more jobs in the years to come."

"I would first like to express my appreciation for the professional and timely work you [Lovett Deconstruction] have done for us at Landmark Northwest. The jobs have always moved forward and the job site has always been clean and orderly! I should note deconstructing versus bulldozing our buildings at Failing and MLK probably cost us a bit more, but it is not always about the money! The few hundred dollars that we 'might' have saved kept three to four of your employees working for two weeks, provided you with a good stock of re-sellable lumber and us with a huge stack of two-by-fours for the new building. Thanks much and please do not hesitate to give our name out for references."

"We hired Lovett Deconstruction in July of 2006 to complete an extensive gut of 8400 square feet of commercial office space in preparation for a brewpub. Der and his crew were very thorough, clean, and organized. Thanks to their efforts, we were able to salvage an incredible volume of beautiful lumber and a variety of other building materials. I look forward to sharing pints of organic beer with Der and crew when we open, to officially thank them for their hard work!"

"I heartily recommend Lovett Deconstruction for anyone interested in demolition performed with an eye to recycling and sustainable remodeling. They provide timely consultation and execution of the job, at a competitive cost. I mostly appreciate their flexibility and help to resolve the unexpected and inevitable changes that arise in any construction project."

"I have used Lovett Deconstruction on three different projects, which varied in size and difficulty. I highly recommend their services. The work on all three projects was done in a clean, efficient, and timely manner, and well within my budget."
